Job Summary:
- The **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.'s Office is seeking dedicated Assistant Attorney Generals to perform complex legal work for the State of Arizona.
- The work involves providing legal advice, counsel and representing the State's interest in cases related to consumer fraud, white collar crime, organized crime, public corruption, environmental laws, civil rights laws, and crimes committed in more than one county.
- This is a full-time position with opportunities for remote work and is open to attorneys with varied levels of experience.
Job Duties:
- Provide legal representation and advice in complex cases in State and Federal court.
- Prepare legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, and memoranda.
- Conduct legal research, investigations, and discovery.
- Respond to inquiries from law enforcement and the general public.
- Attend meetings and trainings as necessary.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):
- Knowledge and understanding of applicable statutes, case law, and court rules.
- Familiarity with legal techniques and American Jurisprudence.
- Ability to analyze and articulate legal arguments, assess evidence, and communicate effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to effectively plan, organize, and manage complex investigations/cases.
- Familiarity with coordinating activities with various law enforcement and governmental agencies.
- Ability to encourage teamwork and collaboration.
- Ability to exercise good judgment in making strategic decisions and providing legal advice.
- Dedication and interest in public service.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
- Valid Arizona Driver's License and consent for periodic driving record checks.
- Active admission to the Arizona State Bar.
- Writing sample demonstrating analytical and advocacy skills.
- Fingerprinting and criminal background check.
