Job Responsibilities:
The role involves working within the Private Clients Practice Group at a law firm, focusing on estate and trust administration. The successful candidate will serve high net worth clients and will be responsible for various tasks, including:
- Overseeing estate and trust administration processes.
- Handling probate court procedures.
- Preparing estate and gift tax returns.
- Managing distributions to and from trusts.
- Ensuring compliance with estate, gift, and fiduciary income tax laws.
- Navigating Massachusetts probate court and procedures.
The position requires a senior-level attorney who can provide excellent client services, demonstrating superb judgment and communication skills, and effectively working in a team-oriented and collaborative environment.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates must have:
- At least six years of experience in estate and trust administration.
- Strong academic credentials.
- Experience specifically with high net worth clients.
- A comprehensive understanding of probate court procedures and the preparation of estate and gift tax returns.
- Knowledge of estate, gift, and fiduciary income tax laws.
- Familiarity with Massachusetts probate court and procedures.
Salary Information:
The anticipated annual salary range for this position in Boston, MA is $325,000 to $350,000. In addition to the standard benefits package, there may be additional contingent compensation based on various factors such as work performance, geographic location, work experience, education, and qualifications. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate of what the law firm reasonably expects to pay for the position at the time of this posting.
