Job Title: 2L Summer Associate
Job Responsibilities:
The 2L Summer Associate will join the IP Brands practice at the law firm and will gain exposure to the practice of law and the daily life of an associate within the firm. Responsibilities include:
- Participating in the 2026 Summer Associate Program, which offers a realistic introduction to the legal profession.
- Working closely with attorneys in the IP Brands group to gain hands-on experience.
- Engaging in a variety of legal tasks and projects under the supervision of experienced attorneys.
- Spending at least eight consecutive weeks, and no more than ten weeks, working with the firm during the summer program.
- Collaborating with team members to support the needs of the IP Brands practice area.
Education and Experience Information:
- The position is open to second-year JD students who are currently enrolled in a law school program.
- Candidates are encouraged to apply from the Austin, Houston, Minneapolis, or New York offices.

Salary Information:
- Summer associates are entitled to compensation that reflects their skill and experience.
- The summer associate salary is calculated using the annualized salary for a first-year associate in the specific market.
- The full-time base annual salary for a first-year associate in this position is expected to be $225,000.
- For summer associates, this salary translates to approximately $4,327 per week in 2026.
- This salary range represents the law firm's good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting.
