Job Title: Director, Performance Management Strategy and Operations
Job Responsibilities:
The Director of Performance Management Strategy and Operations at the company plays a crucial role within the Global Sales & Commercial Operations (GSCO) team, which is instrumental in executing and delivering key global initiatives and planning activities across the organization. The GSCO team focuses on driving the strategic direction for the company's business operations and global sales organization, acting as a connector for markets, regions, and global groups, and promoting a unified company mindset. The Director will be part of the Business Performance organization, which encompasses Performance Management & Analytics, Sales Compensation, and Client Insights.
Key job responsibilities include:
- Performance Management Planning:
- Support the execution of the annual planning cycle for GSCO, which extends from May until October.
- Define metrics for MIP and TIP Scorecards and Individual OKRs for Generalist Sellers.
- Collaborate with CMS, VAS, and the Sales Compensation team to align metrics for Specialist Sellers on SIP plans.
- Communicate GSCO proposals and gather feedback from key stakeholders throughout the planning cycle.
- Participate in the year-end evaluation of markets and functions based on Scorecard performance for annual compensation decisions.
- Sales Metric Design:
- Develop frameworks and definitions for sales metrics to measure market and seller performance.
- Establish consistent policies and governance to ensure accurate sales crediting and adherence to guidelines.
- Target-Setting Strategy:
- Facilitate the global market and individual target-setting process, ensuring alignment between Generalist and Specialist targets.
- Define the global strategy, framework, and taxonomy for metrics, account/seller targeting, and granularity of targets.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including Finance, to ensure data readiness and performance tracking.
- Strategic Initiatives:
- Support the team in various strategic initiatives, providing analytical and business case modeling support as needed.
- Address strategic problems, quick initiatives, and process redesigns with efficient and solutions-oriented approaches.
- Build cross-functional partnerships and collaborate with key stakeholders globally, including Finance, People, Product, Marketing, CEO Office, Global Markets LT, CMS, VAS, regional BPOs, and Sales Excellence teams.
This position is hybrid, with office attendance expectations to be confirmed by the hiring manager.
Education and Experience Information:
Basic Qualifications:
- 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or at least 8 years with an Advanced Degree (., Masters/MBA/JD/MD), or at least 3 years with a PhD.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 8-10 years with an Advanced Degree (., Masters, MBA, JD, MD), or 6+ years with a PhD.
- 8+ years of experience across operations, sales, and/or strategy.
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly in undefined or unstructured scenarios.
- Strategic and analytical thinker capable of moving from high-level concepts to details and solutions with minimal guidance.
- Expert-level proficiency in Excel and PPT, with preferred experience in data and reporting tools like Tableau and Power BI.
- Results-oriented individual who drives a culture of constant improvement with customers and markets at the center.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of on-time delivery of key initiatives.
- Solution-oriented with high attention to detail, quality, and optimization opportunities.
- Proactive problem solver with informed ideas on process improvements and practical solutions.
- Effective communicator, especially with executives and in ambiguous situations, able to explain complex concepts to a broad audience.
- Undergraduate degree required; MBA preferred.
Salary Information:
For . applicants only, the estimated salary range for a new hire in this position is $151,600 to $258,750 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments if applicable. Salary may vary based on job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Additionally, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
