Job Title: Intellectual Property Clerk
Job Responsibilities:
The Intellectual Property Clerk at the law firm is an entry-level position designed for individuals eager to enter the field of IP Patent Prosecution. The clerk will be responsible for providing wide-ranging support to a busy IP law practice. Key responsibilities include:
- Possessing general knowledge of Intellectual Property foreign patent prosecution procedures.
- Performing administrative tasks such as filing, completing forms, organizing documents, distributing mail, and providing general support to the Foreign Paralegal Team and IP Patents Group.
- Entering and tracking due dates into the matter management system.
- Reviewing USPTO and outside counsel correspondence, entering new cases, and new due dates.
- Generating docket reports.
- Communicating with USPTO, attorneys, paralegals, liaisons, foreign associates, and staff about docketing and foreign prosecution matters.
- Assisting in quality assurance review for patent filings by noting and referring any errors or omissions during docketing to attorneys.

Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor’s degree is preferred for applicants.
- 1 year of prior administrative experience is preferred.
