Job Title: Employee Relations Manager, Employee Experience and Relations
Job Responsibilities:
- Detect and Mitigate Risks: Utilize expertise in employee and labor relations to identify trends, gaps, and challenges. Develop and implement solution-focused strategies and programs to mitigate these risks effectively.
- Crisis Management: Respond reactively to crisis-oriented partner issues under time constraints while exercising excellent judgment.
- Project Management: Independently manage large-scale, network-wide projects that improve frontline partner experiences, ensuring timely delivery.
- Analyze and Interpret Data: Use strong analytical skills to process data and anecdotes, developing persuasive narratives and recommendations. Demonstrate the ability to define and measure the success of programs.
- Communicate Effectively: Produce high-quality written communications that concisely analyze problems and recommend solutions. Design and deliver engaging training sessions.
- Collaborate: Build constructive relationships with critical stakeholders to share information and influence change.
- Problem Solve: Work independently with minimal supervision in ambiguous situations, overcoming internal and external barriers to drive resolutions.
- Work at Scale: Launch and manage sustainable mechanisms for entire networks.
Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor’s degree is required.
- 7+ years of relevant experience in employee relations, labor relations, or labor/employment law with an emphasis on labor and employee relations.
- Proven track record of creating, improving, and executing programs at scale.
- Strong communication skills in both written and verbal forms, with extensive public speaking, training, and/or communication experience.
- Ability to connect with people across a wide variety of backgrounds.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, SharePoint, and PowerPoint, with a curiosity about new learning technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree, JD, or other specialized training in labor/employee relations.
- Leadership experience in the distribution, logistics, and/or transportation industries is highly desired.
- Experience in building and launching programs that positively impact engagement measurably.
- Experience in analyzing and using metrics to identify vulnerabilities and drive improvements in employee experience.
- Comfort in a fast-paced environment and ability to manage through ambiguity and change.
- Solid sense of accountability, high-quality judgment, and sound decision-making.
- Fluency in multiple languages.
- Ability to handle confidential information and escalate issues when appropriate.
Salary Information:
- The base pay for this position ranges from $114,600/year in the lowest geographic market to $205,900/year in the highest geographic market. Pay is based on factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
