The **Members Only** is one of the largest legal employers in the state, with offices in Springfield, Columbia, Kansas City, and St. Louis. Our internship program offers students the opportunity to work on cases that directly impact policy and people, as well as receive mentorship and guidance from experienced attorneys in various divisions of the Office.

Why intern with us?

• Real-world litigation experience: Our internships are designed to give students a preview into the life of an attorney. You will be given projects and assignments that provide hands-on experience and teach skills that can be applied to any legal practice.

• Networking opportunities: Our internships provide students with the opportunity to interact with various attorneys, state offices, and judges. You will also have the chance to visit federal and state courts, tour prisons and crime laboratories, and visit other state offices, such as the State Capitol.

• Potential for future employment: We use our internship program as a way to identify and cultivate the best and brightest minds for our incoming Class of Assistant Attorney Generals. Interns may have the opportunity to interview for full-time positions upon graduation and admission to the Missouri Bar.

• Training and mentorship: We value mentorship and feedback, and each intern is assigned to a supervising attorney who will guide and provide feedback throughout the program. We also value feedback from our interns and continually update and modify our program to best fit the needs of students.

How to apply

Our internship program primarily focuses on law students, but certain sections may also host undergraduate interns. The majority of our internships take place during the summer, but opportunities may also be available during the fall and spring semesters. Our internships may be paid and/or used for school credit.

On-campus interviews are conducted at all four Missouri law schools (University of Missouri - Columbia and Kansas City campuses, Washington University, and St. Louis University) and a variety of other law schools.
