Location

Duties

  • Handle intellectual property litigation matters, including patents and trade secrets

  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients on complex hard tech disputes

  • Provide strategic counseling on ongoing litigation matters

  • Participate in all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation

  • Draft pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents

  • Conduct legal and technical research

  • Mentor and guide junior associates, where appropriate

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience practicing law with a focus on IP litigation

  • Demonstrated experience with patent and/or trade secret disputes

  • Strong work ethic and ability to manage high levels of responsibility

  • Excellent judgment and business acumen in managing litigation strategy

  • Admission to the bar in the state of the practicing office

Education

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school

  • Undergraduate degree (. or equivalent) in one of the following:

    • Computer Science

    • Electrical Engineering

    • Mathematics

    • Physics
      (This technical background is required)

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in the relevant state jurisdiction

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and within a team

  • Proven leadership and initiative in managing client matters
