Senior Counsel, Global Privacy and Cybersecurity
- Full-time position with **Members Only**, a global healthcare leader with a portfolio of life-changing technologies and products in diagnostics, medical devices, nutritionals, and branded generic medicines
- Location options include **Members Only** Park, North Chicago, or Willis Towers, Chicago
- Responsible for providing legal counsel to various **Members Only** businesses in the medical devices and diagnostics space on data, privacy, cybersecurity, and AI laws and regulations
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to advise on complex legal matters, including new product developments, data use practices, marketing programs, and internal investigations
- Stay updated on changes in data, privacy, cybersecurity, and AI laws, particularly in the medical devices and healthcare sectors, and provide actionable insights to strengthen **Members Only**'s Global Privacy Program
- Collaborate with Government Affairs, Cybersecurity, and Global Privacy functions to influence regulatory changes and represent **Members Only** in industry association meetings
- Select and manage outside counsel, conduct legal due diligence for potential M&A and other business transactions, and provide training and education on privacy and cybersecurity laws and regulations
- Juris Doctor degree and 8+ years of legal experience required, along with knowledge of different cultures and experience handling privacy and cybersecurity risks in the medical devices or healthcare industry
- CIPP accreditations preferred but not essential
- Base pay for this position ranges from $143,300 to $286,700, with potential variation in specific locations
- Standard work shift with 20% travel required

Key Responsibilities:
- Counsel and advise **Members Only** businesses in medical devices and diagnostics space on data, privacy, cybersecurity, and AI laws and regulations
- Resolve complex legal questions, stay updated on changes in laws and regulations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to address challenges effectively
- Influence regulatory changes and represent **Members Only** in industry association meetings
- Manage outside counsel, conduct legal due diligence, and provide training and education on privacy and cybersecurity laws
- Supervise a Paralegal and provide guidance on their work and professional development

Training/Experience Required:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school, admission to a US state bar in good standing, and appropriate licensure to practice law
- 8+ years of legal experience in a law firm or corporate legal environment
- Experience with international operations and working across cultures
- Knowledge of privacy and cybersecurity risks and mitigations in the medical devices or healthcare industry preferred
- CIPP accreditations preferred but not essential

Salary Information:
- Base pay for this position ranges from $143,300 to $286,700, with potential variation in specific locations
