Attorney / Lawyer (Of Counsel) Duties: Provide legal guidance to clients regarding various business legal matters. Prepare real estate and business closing documents, such as purchase and sale agreements, deeds, asset purchase agreements, and bills of sale. Draft legal documents relating to acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and development of commercial and residential community projects. Prepare loan documents package and represent lenders at closings, including drafting promissory notes, deeds of trust, and security agreements. Review real property title documents and survey for defects and prepare objection letters. Draft deeds, powers of attorney, title affidavits, releases of liens, and other documents required to close real properties. Prepare and review commercial and residential leases representing landlords and tenants. Negotiate purchase and sale agreements, leases, and joint venture agreements. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Qualifications: Accredited law degree. Texas Bar License. 3+ years of Real estate law experience as a licensed Attorney. High level of professionalism, excellent business judgment, unquestioned integrity, and leadership skills. Ability to think strategically and advocate for clients.
