is searching for a qualified Legal Secretary/Receptionist to join our team in North Scottsdale, AZ. We are a national firm that specializes in personal injury and product liability lawsuits against multi-million-dollar companies for their defective and/or unsafe products. We are dedicated to seeking justice for consumer-victims who suffer from catastrophic or fatal injuries that significantly impact the rest of their lives and/or the lives of their loved ones. Our ideal candidate for this position would possess knowledge of legal and medical terminology, civil case procedures and process, and be eager to learn more by working closely with highly experienced attorneys. Job Responsibilities: - Handle incoming mail and shipments - Save legal documents and correspondence to file, direct case-specific documents to attorneys and paralegals, and manage invoices - Schedule conferences, depositions, and mediations based upon the attorneys' availabilities - Maintain office calendar such as setting events, updating as needed, and providing reminders to legal support staff for approaching deadlines - Provide overall telephone support by answering telephones, taking detailed notes, and routing calls/messages to attorneys and paralegals - Prepare and format correspondence and routine legal documents under the supervision of an attorney or a paralegal - Conserve attorneys time by reading, researching, reviewing, verifying, and routing correspondence, reports and legal documents - Collaborate with legal support team in preparing materials for upcoming trials - Keep case file indexes up to date with document production and technical discovery as received - Assist with monthly office supply orders Job Qualifications: - Associate degree (preferred) - Two or more years of related experience in an administration role or law firm - Litigation and/or legal department experience (preferred) - Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Skills and Abilities: - Multi-tasking: Ability to work independently, handle multiple projects simultaneously and remain up to date on case progress - Organization: Maintain organization of legal documents, correspondence, and various case-specific materials - Time Management: Follow case schedule as deadlines approach and ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner - Professionalism: Ability to maintain professionalism in the workplace, keep composure in a busy environment (., trials!), and handle confidential documents and information with absolute discretion - Communication: Strong communication (both verbal and written), ability to collaborate with a team, and ask questions as needed - Work Ethic: Detail oriented, fast learner, effective researcher, quality notetaker, and outstanding ability to absorb and retain new information Job Type: Full-time Pay: $35, - $40, per year Benefits: - 401(k) matching - Dental insurance - Disability insurance - Flexible spending account - Health insurance - Health savings account - Life insurance - Paid sick time - Paid time off - Vision insurance Schedule: - 8 hour shift Monday to Friday - No weekends Travel requirement: No travel Ability to commute/relocate: Scottsdale, AZ 85255 (Required) Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications Job Title: Legal Secretary/Receptionist At, we are searching for a qualified Legal Secretary/Receptionist to join our team in North Scottsdale, AZ.
