Bankruptcy Legal Assistant
Job Responsibilities
The Bankruptcy Legal Assistant will be responsible for performing various operational tasks accurately and efficiently. The tasks include but are not limited to:
- Electronically filing documents with the bankruptcy court
- Retrieving and processing incoming data and/or documentation
- Submitting and processing outgoing data and/or documentation
- Acting as a liaison between the law firm/attorneys, clients, intra-office personnel, and/or third parties
Education and Experience Information
- Required: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a bankruptcy-creditor rights law firm
- The applicant must reside in one of the following eligible states: AL, CT, FL, GA, KY, ME, MA, MD, MI, NH, NC, NJ, OH, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, VT, and VA
Additional Requirements
- Polished and professional verbal and written communication skills
- Proven record of dependability and ability to work well independently and with a team
