Risk Management – Conflict Clerk: Job Description and Salary Information

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, a national law firm, is currently seeking a Risk Management Conflict Clerk to join their team. This is a full-time position with flexible work options, including remote, hybrid, or onsite work. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in a medium to large law firm, with a preference for paralegal or law clerk experience. The individual must also adhere to strict confidentiality when handling client and firm matters.

Responsibilities:

Conduct conflict of interest searches and manage matter intake until resolution
Make decisions regarding conflict resolution, including interpreting complex requests and determining appropriate methods to resolve conflicts
Analyze conflict reports and present recommendations to attorneys
Communicate and distribute conflict of interest information to relevant parties
Conduct research using third-party business resources for new clients and other assigned tasks
Stay up-to-date on professional conduct rules and client relationship considerations
Participate in special projects and perform other assigned duties
Collaborate with team members to enhance productivity
Willingness to work overtime and cover weekend and holiday shifts as needed

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant field (., research, paralegal, or clerking) or 1 year of direct conflicts experience in a law firm
Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills
Ability to interact with attorneys, management, and staff
Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail and time management skills
Discretion and good judgment
Proficiency with Outlook preferred
Familiarity with legal documents is a plus

Education:

College degree preferred

Compensation and Benefits:

The firm offers a friendly, business casual work environment and a competitive salary and benefits package. Salary range for this position is $40,000 - $55,000.
