International Accounting and Tax Manager
Job Responsibilities:
The International Accounting and Tax Manager is responsible for overseeing international accounting operations and ensuring global business tax compliance. Key duties include:
- Managing the month-end and year-end close processes for global subsidiaries and affiliates.
- Ensuring consolidated financial reporting in accordance with . GAAP, IFRS, and local standards.
- Directing global tax compliance, including corporate business tax and VAT/GST.
- Collaborating with the internal Tax Team to develop and implement strategies to optimize the effective global tax rate.
- Monitoring and analyzing changes in tax law and advising the law firm on potential impacts.
- Supporting cross-border mergers and acquisitions, expansions, due diligence, and integration.
- Ensuring compliance with transfer pricing and intercompany agreements.
- Managing the collection of information required for determining transfer pricing.
- Providing accounting and tax guidance.
- Identifying opportunities for improved efficiency and best practices in global finance.
- Liaising with the internal Tax Team, external advisors, and outside auditors.
- Maintaining reliable attendance to meet business needs.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- A four-year degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- A CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Five or more years of progressive experience with complex accounting and tax issues, preferably in a multinational environment or public accounting firm.
Specific Skills Required:
- Thorough knowledge of standard general ledger processes and procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and standard computerized accounting systems.
- Ability to apply accounting and tax regulations to both standard and non-standard situations.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to respond to questions timely and convey difficult information clearly and professionally.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask.
- Ability to perform well under pressure and execute assignments efficiently.
- Ability to work effectively across cultures and remote teams.
- Strong ethical judgment and integrity, with change management and project management skills.
Specific Skills Preferred:
- Experience with Elite 3E (legal/accounting software) and advanced Excel skills.
- Legal industry experience.
- Knowledge of . GAAP, IFRS, and international tax regulations, particularly in Western Europe and Asia.
- Experience with transfer pricing, cross-border transactions, and global tax compliance.
Salary Information:
This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, 401(k) plan, medical, dental, and vision insurance, accrued paid time off starting at 20 days annually, personal medical and parental leave, up to 10 paid holidays, and family care benefits.
Compensation ranges by location:
- Colorado: $117,045 to $159,290 annually
- Illinois: $123,525 to $168,110 annually
- Washington state: $108,610 to $168,030 annually
Note: Actual compensation may vary depending on experience, skills, market conditions, and internal equity.
