Job Title: Construction Associate Attorney
Job Responsibilities:
The Construction Associate Attorney will be responsible for engaging in all phases of construction litigation. Key responsibilities include case management, motion practice, and discovery. The attorney will handle hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials. The role involves representing a diverse client base, including government entities, public and private developers, general contractors, sub-contractors/artisans, and design professionals. The attorney will deal with cases involving alleged design and construction defects and construction fee disputes. Additionally, the attorney will defend construction accident claims, which may involve issues related to scaffold systems, shoring, demolition, and heavy machinery in industrial, commercial, and residential projects.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates must have at least two (2) years of experience in construction litigation. This experience should encompass case management, motion practice, discovery, and managing hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials. A strong background in research and writing is essential. is required for this position. While experience specifically in construction law is preferred, the law firm is open to candidates with substantial litigation experience in other areas, provided they have a demonstrated interest in construction law.
