Job Title: HR Paralegal Manager
Job Responsibilities:
HR Manager Responsibilities:
- Human Resources Management: Implement employment policies in compliance with local, state, and federal laws. Supervise non-attorney staff and foster a positive work environment. Manage staffing, compensation, performance, and employee training, collaborating with firm leadership as needed.
- Staff Supervision & Employee Relations: Recruit, hire, onboard, and supervise all paralegals and administrative staff, resolve performance issues, and ensure proper staffing coverage for attorney support. Lead monthly staff meetings, conduct annual performance reviews, and develop individual training plans. Coordinate payroll, benefits, and paid leave. Ensure all staffing changes and terminations are documented and processed according to Colorado law. Review and monitor time entries to ensure an equal workload among billing staff. Analyze monthly billing reports to identify trends and recommend adjustments as needed.
Paralegal Responsibilities:
- Case & Legal Document Management: Support attorneys with case management by drafting, proofreading, and revising legal documents (motions, pleadings, contracts, etc.), conducting legal research, and managing digital and physical case files.
- Client & Attorney Support: Interact with clients and attorneys to coordinate case timelines, deadlines, and events. Assist in maintaining organized and up-to-date files, both physical and digital, to ensure compliance and smooth case progression.
Education and Experience Information:
Required:
- 3+ years of experience as an HR Manager, Supervisor, or Administrator (law firm experience preferred).
- 3+ years of experience as a Paralegal (Paralegal certificate preferred).
- Solid understanding of HR practices, compensation, performance management, and employment laws.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, DocuSign, and Amicus Attorney.
Preferred:
- Graduate degree and/or HR certifications (SHRM, PHR, SPHR, CLM).
- Paralegal certification.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong communication skills. Excellent attention to detail, judgment, and discretion.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Salary Information:
Compensation and Benefits:
- Base salary: $65,000 - $80,000 yearly, possible bonuses, and paid time off depend on experience and on-the-job performance.
