Job Title: Contract Employment and Labor Law Attorney

Job Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality legal services to clients while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and legal documents with precision.
- Take depositions and negotiate settlements; gather background information.
- Counsel and correspond with clients, opposing counsel, and others on factual matters.
- Represent clients in court proceedings and administrative hearings as necessary.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to develop case strategies and ensure effective communication.
- Maintain accurate records of all legal documents and correspondence.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact clients or cases.

Education and Experience Information:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Maryland, Virginia, or Washington DC.
- Experience in a law office setting is required, with familiarity in employment and labor law.
- Strong research skills with the ability to analyze complex legal issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective negotiation and litigation.
- Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- High level of professionalism and ethical standards in all interactions.

Salary Information:
- Base pay is per hour.
- This is a part-time, remote contract position with expected hours of 20 to 25 per week.
- Flexible work schedule allows for choosing your own hours.
