Job Title: Assistant Vice President, Litigation Attorney

Job Responsibilities:
The Assistant Vice President, Litigation Attorney, will report to the SVP, Legal and will be responsible for managing . litigation matters for the company. The role involves coordinating with both internal colleagues and external counsel to provide effective litigation strategy and counsel to the business. Key responsibilities include:

- Assisting with the supervision and management of the company's defense in litigation across state and federal courts in the .
- Handling general liability and products liability matters, including talc/asbestos lawsuits and multi-district litigation (MDL).
- Managing consumer class actions related to false advertising, consumer fraud, defective product claims, and privacy breaches under acts like TCPA, BIPA, and CIPA.
- Overseeing commercial disputes, including those with vendors and suppliers.
- Addressing California-specific legal issues such as Proposition 65 and CARB.
- Coordinating with outside counsel on all litigation matters.
- Liaising with finance teams to manage litigation budgets.
- Providing commercial law support and guidance in areas such as advertising and marketing law, retail store legal issues, e-commerce sites, data retention, and IT destruction policies.

Education and Experience Information:
- A . degree from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials is required.
- The candidate must be a member in good standing with the New York or New Jersey State bar.
- A minimum of 8-10 years of experience focused on all facets of litigation relevant to a consumer products company is necessary.
- The candidate should possess solid judgment, respect, and integrity toward others and should be comfortable providing legal advice across all 50 states.
- Additional experience in advertising law, retail legal guidance, and contracts is also desired.

Salary Information:
The salary range for this position is $147,100 - $213,300. The actual compensation will depend on factors such as geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level.
