Job Title: Error Omissions Litigation Staff Attorney (Hybrid)
Job Responsibilities:
An Error Omissions (E&O) Litigation Staff Attorney plays a pivotal role in safeguarding professionals and businesses from liability claims that arise from mistakes, negligence, or inadequate work. The primary responsibilities include:
- Analyzing complex legal and factual scenarios to determine coverage and liability.
- Negotiating high-severity claims and participating in mediations, settlement conferences, and trials.
- Conducting reinsurance and bad faith reporting.
- Monitoring potentially severe claims assigned to Claims Specialists and providing handling recommendations.
- Preparing authority requests and recommendations for the Vice President of GL Claims, E&O, Reinsurance, and Coverage Claims.
- Advising and assisting agents and insured organizations in implementing policies to minimize exposure to E&O claims.
Education and Experience Information:
- Juris Doctor () degree is required.
- 5-10 years of experience in handling large loss liability claims is necessary.
- Experience with professional liability claims is preferred.
Salary Information:
- The salary range for this position is between $124,000 and $165,000.
- The final salary will be determined based on the employee’s work experience, geographic location, education, certifications, scope and responsibilities of the role, and additional qualifications.
