Job Title: Health Care Transactions Associate
Job Responsibilities:
The Health Care Transactions Associate will be part of the Health Care Practice Group at a law firm, which represents various sectors within health care services. This includes physician practices, telemedicine companies, and numerous other health care entities and systems. The role also involves working with venture and private equity investors focused on health care and life sciences. The associate will be responsible for:
- Managing and executing health care transactional projects and matters.
- Drafting sophisticated transactional documents.
- Navigating federal and state health care regulatory environments and understanding their impact on health care transactions and day-to-day business operations.
- Training and mentoring junior associates.
- Interacting directly with senior partners and clients.
- Contributing to advancing the long-term strategic objectives of the Health Care Practice Group.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates for the Health Care Transactions Associate position must possess the following qualifications:
- 3-6 years of transactional experience with a focus on health care clients.
- Knowledge of federal and state health care regulatory environments.
- Experience in managing complex projects and drafting transactional documents.
- A JD from an ABA-approved law school.
- Active membership and good standing with the Bar in the jurisdiction(s) of practice.
- Excellent academic credentials, writing, and communication skills.
- AmLaw 100 experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to thrive in a sophisticated practice and collegial environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
Salary Information:
The expected salary range for the Health Care Transactions Associate position is between $260,000 and $390,000. Actual pay will be determined based on education, experience, internal pay equity at the law firm, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
