Job Title: Director - Legal and Corporate Affairs Operations
Job Responsibilities:
The Director of Functional Operations for the Legal and Corporate Affairs department is primarily responsible for strategically leading and managing the day-to-day operations of the department. This position ensures effective financial management, technology strategy, process optimization, and project management within the department. The role involves:
- Financial Management:
- Overseeing budgeting and resource allocation to optimize departmental expenditures and align with organizational goals.
- Managing vendor relationships to deliver high-quality services and products cost-effectively.
- Administering subscription management for legal tools and resources to ensure compliance and accessibility.
- Tech Strategy / Process Optimization:
- Leading technology enablement initiatives to enhance operational capabilities and support strategic objectives.
- Driving practice innovation by implementing best practices and new technologies to improve service delivery.
- Overseeing knowledge management to preserve and access critical information and resources.
- Identifying and implementing efficiency improvements to streamline operations and reduce redundancies.
- Managing workflow automation projects to enhance productivity and accuracy across the department.
- Conducting data analysis to inform decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
- Project Management:
- Supporting enterprise initiatives to ensure successful execution and stakeholder engagement.
- Providing comprehensive support to the Board, including preparing materials and facilitating meetings.
- Overseeing the roll-out of functional initiatives in alignment with best practices and industry standards.
Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field is required; an MBA is preferred.
- The candidate should have proven experience in operational management within a legal or corporate environment, with 8-10 years of experience preferred.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and vendor management is essential.
- Proficiency in technology strategy, process optimization, and project management is required.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all organization levels, are crucial.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects is expected.

Salary Information:
- Salary Range: $121,000 - $186,230
- This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on the locale. Ranges in specific states such as Colorado, California, Washington, New York, Hawaii, Vermont, Minnesota, Massachusetts, and Illinois may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
