Job Responsibilities:
The Associate General Counsel, Marketing at the company is tasked with providing guidance to the global marketing team on advertising copy, claims, and promotional materials. The primary responsibility involves ensuring legal compliance in advertising and marketing, with opportunities to work on other commercial projects as assigned by the Chief Legal Officer. - Reviewing and helping develop advertising copy, television, promotional materials, and packaging for claims and legal compliance issues.
- Reviewing public relations materials and press releases in cooperation with cross-functional teams, including infomercial and network scripts.
- Demonstrating knowledge of claims substantiation practices, FTC regulations, and National Advertising Division practices.
- Understanding social media, influencer, and digital media requirements.
- Being extremely responsive to business needs and senior leadership.
- Communicating effectively with excellent negotiation skills and pragmatic problem-solving abilities.
- Strategically collaborating cross-functionally and building enduring partnerships with junior and senior in-house clients.
- Being entrepreneurial and resourceful, thriving on change and new challenges.

- Performing additional duties as assigned by management.
Education and Experience Information:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.
- Member of a state bar.
- Over 10 years of experience in marketing and advertising law, either in-house or in a firm.
- Experience in reviewing marketing and claims materials.
- Excellent written, oral, listening, and organizational skills, with proven ability to interact effectively with varied audiences, including executive team members.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and executive-level presentation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize and manage workload, manage simultaneous tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence, with the capability to stand firm on issues with business clients when necessary.
- Collaborative team player with a high degree of self-sufficiency, independent judgment, and business appreciation, all with a view to managing risk cost-effectively.
- Superior legal and analytical skills, excellent judgment, and initiative in selecting the most effective solutions, with a business-oriented approach to problem-solving.
