A law firm located in Richfield, MN, is seeking an Estate Planning/Estate Administration Attorney with 3-5 years of experience. The candidate will be responsible for preparing various estate planning documents, guiding clients through the estate administration process, advocating on behalf of clients, and effectively managing client needs with a compassionate attitude. Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently.

 

Duties:

  • Prepare documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and deeds.
  • Guide clients through the estate administration process and advocate on their behalf.
  • Communicate effectively with clients about their asset dispersal plans and legal options.
  • Provide information and advice on asset allocation, beneficiary designations, estate tax ramifications, retirement plans, charitable contributions, and insurance choices.
  • Counsel fiduciaries in estate and trust administrations.
  • Work closely with paralegals and legal assistants to delegate tasks and manage workload.
  • Prioritize communication both internally and externally to ensure clients feel heard and supported.
  • Research ways to enhance knowledge in estate planning/estate administration and related practice areas.
  • Appear on behalf of clients in court as needed for estate-related matters.
  • Manage complex cases efficiently and effectively.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Minnesota Bar.
  • 3-5 years of experience in estate planning and estate administration.
  • Extensive knowledge of estate planning and estate administration processes.
  • Confidence in appearing before the court and excellent written communication abilities.
  • Highly organized, responsive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with Tabs/PracticeMaster & Law Firm-based document management systems preferred.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Minnesota Bar.

 

Skills:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Tabs/PracticeMaster & Law Firm-based document management systems preferred.
