Job Responsibilities:
- Represent employers in all aspects of employment law including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, and wrongful termination claims
- Provide legal advice and counsel to employers on employment-related issues
- Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Attend hearings and trials on behalf of clients
- Negotiate settlements and participate in mediations
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients
- Stay current on employment laws and regulations
- Participate in business development and marketing efforts
Qualifications:
- JD from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in the State of Washington
- Minimum of two years of employment law experience
- Strong research and writing skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Transfer book of business is preferred
