**Members Only**, the nation's largest environmental public interest law organization, is seeking an early-career attorney to join our Strategic Legal Advocacy team as an Associate Counsel. This is a remote position with the option to work from our Washington, . office or one of our fourteen other locations across the United States.

As an Associate Counsel, you will work with the Director and two Senior Counsels to expand the team's capacity to serve as an internal and external resource. You will have the opportunity to work on high-risk cases that may be or are pending before en banc courts and the . Supreme Court.

We are looking for a candidate with 1-5 years of litigation experience, including any clerkships. Appellate clerkship and/or appellate practice experience is strongly preferred. A . from an accredited . law school and a license to practice law are required. The ideal candidate will have excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills, as well as a commitment to public interest work and a passion for **Members Only**'s mission.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a partner and resource to **Members Only** litigation teams
• Track developments in federal and state courts that impact **Members Only**'s docket
• Represent **Members Only** in communications with clients, partners, co-counsel, and experts
• Develop skills to serve as a spokesperson with media

Qualifications:

• . from an accredited . law school
• Licensed to practice law wherever located
• 1-5 years of litigation experience, including any clerkships
• Appellate clerkship and/or appellate practice experience strongly preferred
• Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills
• Strong work ethic, good judgment, initiative, creativity, and sense of humor
• Ability to work independently and as a collegial team member
• Commitment to public interest work and a passion for **Members Only**'s mission

Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive compensation package, including excellent benefits, and a mission- and employee-focused work environment. The salary range for this position is $95,200 - $131,900, depending on experience and location.
