Senior Litigation Paralegal Specialist
Job Responsibilities:
The Senior Litigation Paralegal Specialist is tasked with providing professional, accurate, timely, and reliable paralegal support to assist litigating teams. This role involves supporting attorneys in all phases of litigation, particularly focusing on Employment and Civil Litigation teams. Key responsibilities include:
- Performing research and locating responsive information.
- Identifying relevant laws, judicial decisions, and legal articles.
- Synopsizing transcripts of hearings and oral arguments for attorney use.
- Reviewing case materials to identify potentially conflicting statements or areas requiring further investigation.
- Supporting attorneys with discovery requests and responses, drafting motions and briefs, organizing exhibits, and assisting at trial.
- Preparing draft legal documents such as motions, briefs, memoranda of law, and exhibits.
- Conducting legal analysis and reviewing documents for relevance and privilege.
- Assisting in the drafting and issuing of preservation notices and litigation holds.
- Reviewing discovery materials for relevancy and privilege and preparing privilege logs.
Education and Experience Information:
To qualify for the Senior Litigation Paralegal Specialist position, the candidate must have:
- A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience, such as litigation paralegal experience or FOIA analyst experience.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of legal research tools, including LEXIS NEXIS, Westlaw, and Pacer.
- Successful completion of a Law Degree or Paralegal Studies/Certificate is preferred.
- Experience with trial processes is desirable.
- Strong working knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and legal research resources.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with computer platforms for document review and case management.
- General knowledge of ESI tools and e-discovery procedures and resources is desired.
Salary Information:
The annual salary range for the Senior Litigation Paralegal Specialist position is $98, to $163,. Compensation decisions are based on a wide range of factors, including skill sets, experience, training, security clearances, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
Additional Information:
The role requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret federal security clearance. Excellent written and oral communication skills, along with excellent documentation skills, are necessary. The position may be eligible for a discretionary variable incentive bonus.
