Job Title: Commercial Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
The Commercial Paralegal is responsible for assisting attorneys by providing clerical and administrative support across various areas, including commercial transactions, probate administration, banking, finance, bankruptcy, and commercial litigation. Key duties include:
- Meeting with attorneys, clients, and others to discuss assigned matters.
- Obtaining records from federal and state agencies.
- Organizing financial records.
- Preparing and filing business and commercial transaction filings with state agencies.
- Assisting with real estate searches and filings with county agencies.
- Assisting with probate administration by preparing necessary probate court documents, non-probate transfer documents, tax filings, and managing court and tax filings.
- Assisting with trust administration, including the preparation of trustee appointment documentation, trust reports and inventory, property contributions and transfers, distributions, and accountings.
- Conducting asset research for judgment enforcement.
- Assisting with tax lien and tax deed foreclosure proceedings.
- Gathering and organizing banking, brokerage, insurance, entity, real estate, and other property titles and data.
- Maintaining records regarding billable hours.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Information:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A Paralegal Certificate is preferred.
- A minimum of three years of related experience is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel), Fox It, and other similar software is necessary.
- Must be able to read, comprehend, and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Availability to work overtime as needed and approved by attorneys.
- Must be available to travel as needed.
- A valid driver’s license is required.

The candidate must be flexible and able to respond quickly to shifting demands and opportunities, work under tight deadlines, and handle multiple detailed tasks. The ability to work in a multi-office and culturally diverse environment is also required.
