Elder Law Associate Attorney - Job Description:
- Provide quality counsel and innovative solutions to clients in the areas of Elder Law and Estate Planning
- Work as part of a team to deliver personalized service to clients
- Utilize legal expertise and accumulated experience to effectively handle cases
- Specialize in asset protection and Medicaid Spend-down strategies
- Prepare and submit Medicaid applications and supporting documentation to the Department of Social Services
- Draft legal documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care proxies, and living wills
- Appear in court for Estate and Guardianship Proceedings
- Supervise paralegals in the execution of their duties
Elder Law Associate Attorney - Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree (.) from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in New York
- 5-10 years of experience in Elder Law and Estate Planning
- Familiarity with various legal documents
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
