Corporate Counsel, Procurement Legal
Job Responsibilities:
- Contract Execution Under Pressure: Review, negotiate, draft, and ensure fast turnaround times on high-value buy-side agreements, including cloud, SaaS agreements, professional services agreements, and AI transactions.
- Executive Communication: Confidently communicate contract and legal concepts to C-suite executives, especially in high-value and visibility hyperscaler/public cloud deals.
- Lead & Deliver at Speed: Provide rapid, business-savvy legal advice while effectively managing legal risk and ensuring compliance across sourcing transactions.
- Process Efficiency & Innovation: Identify and implement legal process improvements to support rapid deal closure. Assist in developing training materials and provide training to the business on relevant legal topics and best practices.
- Have Fun While Doing It: Work hard and fast, maintaining a positive, solutions-driven approach to challenging situations. Care for colleagues and the company's interests while acting with kindness and good humor.
Education and Experience Information:
- . degree from an accredited law school/university; licensed to practice law in the United States.
- Minimum of five years of legal experience, with strong leadership and management experience and a proven ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving, and demanding industry.
- Demonstrated success in closing high-value technology contracts.
- Experience in contracting across highly regulated sectors.
- Exceptional contract negotiation and drafting skills, with attention to detail and strong legal reasoning, particularly in high-pressure transactions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Team-oriented and collaborative mindset.
- Proven track record of developing and maintaining strong working relationships with demanding internal clients.
- Familiarity and interest in technical concepts such as web applications, cloud computing, digital transformation, and Artificial Intelligence, along with the professional services associated with their implementation.
- Highly adaptable and service-oriented attitude. Ability to handle pressure and provide thoughtful recommendations.
- A proactive, autonomous, resilient, adaptable, eager-to-learn, and team-first mindset.
Salary Information:
- For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $184,000 to $253,000.
- For Washington based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $184,000 to $253,000.
- Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, job level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, and benefits.
