Job Title: General Counsel

Experience: Minimum 15 years legal experience, with at least 5 years in senior legal role with leadership responsibilities

Position Summary: The General Counsel at **Members Only** will play a critical role in fulfilling the company's vision and achieving growth objectives. They will manage a team of associates and serve as a trusted business partner to the CEO and executive team.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement legal strategies to support business objectives and mitigate risk
- Advise CEO and executive team on legal and regulatory issues
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations relevant to the home warranty industry
- Oversee licensing and regulatory filings
- Review and negotiate contracts to align with business objectives
- Identify and manage potential legal risks
- Manage consumer litigation and disputes
- Collaborate with internal departments and provide legal guidance on cross-functional initiatives
- Conduct training on legal and compliance matters

Skills and Experience:

- Minimum 15 years legal experience with 5 years in a senior legal role
- Strong knowledge of consumer protection laws and regulations
- Experience in the home warranty or insurance industry preferred
- Proven expertise in regulatory compliance, contracts, and risk management
- Exceptional leadership skills and experience managing in-house legal staff and external counsel
- Ability to build collaborative teams and foster relationships across all organizational levels
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Track record of managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines
- Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctor (JD) from accredited law school
- Florida Bar or eligible for Florida in-house counsel bar admission
