Law Firm: A premier law firm in Pittsburgh, PA is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Attorney to join our General Liability team. We offer a competitive salary, yearly bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package.
Job Description:
As an Attorney at our firm, you will be responsible for managing a case load from inception to post-trial. This includes communicating with clients, appearing in court and mediation, preparing legal documents, conducting research, and meeting billing requirements. We are looking for someone with at least 2 years of experience in general liability litigation, as well as excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Independently manage a litigation case load
- Communicate with clients to keep them updated on case status
- Attend court appearances and mediations
- Prepare pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
- Review and respond to discovery requests
- Conduct research as needed for each case
- Direct and cross-examine expert witnesses at trial and in depositions
- Meet billing requirements

Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in the state of Pennsylvania
- 2+ years of general liability litigation experience
- Deposition, mediation, and courtroom experience preferred
- Strong analytical, written, and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team structure
