Job Title: 2L Summer Associates for 2026 Summer Program
Job Responsibilities:
The 2L Summer Associates will be involved in a variety of meaningful and practical legal experiences at the law firm. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting legal research and writing.
- Observing and assisting attorneys in various legal tasks.
- Participating in training and educational programs.
- Engaging in mentoring relationships and learning about the firm culture.
- Receiving and applying constructive feedback from experienced attorneys.
- Selecting work assignments based on areas of interest, whenever possible.
- Participating in continuing education through live panel discussions, seminars, and courtroom visits.
- Networking through social activities designed to help students build personal and professional relationships.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates must be 2L students graduating in the class of 2027. The ideal candidates will demonstrate:
- High academic achievement.
- Excellent research and writing abilities.
- Involvement in extracurricular activities and/or employment history, preferably in leadership positions.
- Maturity and the ability to accept responsibility.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
Salary Information:
The weekly salary range for summer associates is between $2,200 and $3,500, which varies by location.
Additional Information:
The summer program is designed to be generally self-directed, with projects collected from lawyers throughout the firm, allowing summer associates to gain experience across different areas of legal practice. Each assignment is accompanied by oral and written feedback from attorneys, culminating in a formal evaluation by the Summer Program directors.
