Job Title: Sr. Claims Examiner - General Liability

Job Responsibilities:
The Sr. Claims Examiner is tasked with managing the resolution of moderate to high complexity and exposure general liability claims. These claims may involve disputes requiring mediation or litigation. Responsibilities include:

- Handling claims from coverage inquiry through legal liability assessment and quantum analysis to resolution.
- Ensuring mitigation of indemnity and expense exposure while communicating developments and outcomes to stakeholders.
- Making decisions within the authority and providing training and technical referrals to team members.
- Analyzing complex coverage issues and communicating coverage positions.
- Conducting, coordinating, and directing investigations into loss facts and extent of damages.
- Directing and monitoring assignments to outside counsel and experts.
- Evaluating information on coverage, liability, and damages to determine insured's exposure.
- Setting timely and meaningful reserves within authority or recommending reserve changes to the manager.
- Negotiating and settling claims directly or indirectly.
- Preparing reports by collecting and summarizing information.
- Adhering to Fair Claims Practices regulations.
- Participating in special projects and assisting team members as needed.
- Traveling to mediations, trials, and conferences as required.

Education and Experience Information:
- Experience handling moderate to high exposure general liability BI and PD claims is required.
- A legal background as a practicing attorney with litigation or coverage experience is beneficial.
- Experience handling excess/umbrella claims is a plus.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to deliver outstanding customer service.
- Ability to work in a team environment and a strong desire for continuous improvement.
- US Work Authorization is required, and the company does not provide visa sponsorship for this position.

Salary Information:
The position offers a base salary ranging from $73,600 to $122,600 with a 15% bonus potential. The salary is based on various compensable factors, including job-relevant education, experience, training, licensure, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other factors.
