**Members Only** is seeking an experienced attorney to join our team as an Assistant Corporation Counsel in the Special Federal Litigation Division. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on police reform and monitorship issues with a team providing legal counsel to the NYPD. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to attend high level meetings with the NYPD, federal monitor, and class counsel, and make a difference in police reform efforts.

The Assistant Corporation Counsel will work on motion practice, assist in drafting and revising NYPD policies related to the monitorship, and review and prepare documents for disclosure to and/or inspection by class counsel. They will also attend in-person training at various NYPD facilities. This position may require attendance at training, responding to inquiries from the monitor and other interested parties, and meeting court deadlines outside of regular working hours.

To be considered for this position, applicants must have a minimum of two years of litigation experience following graduation from an ABA accredited law school, preferably in federal practice, municipal liability, constitutional, or personal injury law. They must also be admitted to practice law in the State of New York and be admitted or eligible for immediate admission to the SDNY and EDNY. Strong legal writing and oral advocacy skills are also required.

Salary for this position ranges from $87, to $175, and includes eligibility for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program. New York City residency is not required for this position.
