Job Title: Civil Litigation Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
The Civil Litigation Paralegal at the law firm will play a crucial role in supporting attorneys with civil litigation matters. The responsibilities include conducting factual research, which involves interviewing witnesses, reviewing, organizing, and summarizing extensive documents and case files. The paralegal is also responsible for obtaining and analyzing medical records to support discovery and case strategy. Drafting legal documents such as pleadings, discovery, disclosures, subpoenas, and correspondence from the complaint stage through trial is a key part of the role. Additionally, the paralegal must maintain and manage both paper and electronic files, prepare summaries of medical visits and billing records, and manage docketing and deadlines with meticulous attention to detail. Organizing and indexing documents in internal electronic databases is another critical task. Regular communication with clients, healthcare providers, insurance adjusters, and opposing counsel is also required.
Education and Experience Information:
The position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal or in a law office setting. While a degree or paralegal certificate is preferred, it is not mandatory. The candidate must have high proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer applications. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail are crucial. Strong oral and written communication abilities are necessary for success in this role. The candidate should be energetic, enthusiastic, self-motivated, and a quick learner, comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Salary Information:
The law firm offers a competitive salary range of $62,400 to $79,040 per year, depending on experience (DOE). Schedule:
