Responsibilities: - Investigating and handling complex cases using circumstantial evidence and best business practices for building a strong case and assessing fiduciary liability - Interviewing victims and witnesses to gather information and determine appropriate sentence recommendations and guidelines - Researching relevant case law and codes for applicability to legal issues - Drafting and preparing legal documents such as briefs, motions, and subpoenas - Coordinating with other city and state agencies to provide assistance and protection to victims and witnesses of elder financial abuse and vulnerable person financial abuse - Participating in community engagement initiatives - Performing related work as required Qualifications: - Juris Doctor degree and Maryland bar admission - Prior prosecution jury trial experience - Ability to work independently and highly organized - Understanding of business accounting practices (preferred but not required) Salary: The salary for this position is $77,191 or higher, depending on experience.
