General Liability Associate Attorney
Job Responsibilities
The General Liability Associate Attorney will be part of the General Liability Practice at the law firm. The primary responsibilities include:
- Engaging in all phases of insurance defense litigation. This includes effectively managing cases, engaging in motion practice, conducting discovery, and handling various legal proceedings such as hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials.
- Collaborating with a team of over 600 attorneys nationwide to represent defendants in significant exposure cases across a wide range of general liability areas.
- Providing defense for property and personal injury claims for both businesses and individuals who may be insured or self-insured.
- Excelling in the litigation and trial of catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and complex litigation cases.
- Working alongside seasoned and well-respected trial attorneys who have extensive trial experience and have been recognized for their defense work.
Education and Experience Information
- The candidate must possess strong research and writing skills.
- Possession of at least one (1) to seven (7) years of experience in insurance defense litigation is required.
- Experience should encompass all phases of the litigation process, including case management, motion practice, discovery, hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials.
- Admission to the New Jersey Bar is mandatory.
- Admission to the New York and/or Pennsylvania Bars is considered advantageous.
- The law firm is open to candidates with substantive litigation experience from any litigation arena, emphasizing the development of talented attorneys.
Salary Information
- The salary range for the General Liability Associate Attorney position is between USD $110, and USD $165, per year.
