Job Title: Attorney-Toxic Tort Associate
Job Responsibilities:
The Toxic Tort Associate will be responsible for a variety of tasks within the law firm's Toxic Tort practice group. The principal duties include:
- Taking and defending depositions, which involves gathering testimonies from witnesses under oath before a trial.
- Drafting and arguing dispositive motions, which are legal motions seeking to dispose of a case or claims without a trial.
- Preparing for mediations and trials, which involves organizing and strategizing legal arguments and evidence presentation.
- Engaging in various stages of the litigation process, including pre-trial, trial, and post-trial activities.
- Working with key client teams to deliver effective legal solutions and results for clients.
- Contributing to the strategic planning and execution of legal cases in the Toxic Tort practice area.
Education and Experience Information:
Qualified candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Admission to practice law in the State of New York.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in a legal setting, with a focus on Toxic Tort practice.
- Demonstrated experience in taking and defending depositions, drafting and arguing dispositive motions, and preparing for mediations and trial.
- Effective writing skills and strategic thinking abilities are essential.
- Prior experience in a Toxic Tort practice is highly desirable.
Salary Information:
The position offers an annualized salary range of $85,000 to $165,000, with actual pay being adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors as permitted by law. In addition to the salary, the position offers bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package. The benefits package includes:
