Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm in Washington, . is looking for a talented and experienced Labor & Employment Associate Attorney to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a highly skilled group of professionals in a litigation-heavy environment, primarily representing employers in class actions and other complex employment matters. The role also includes a range of advisory and investigative tasks, providing a diverse workload for an ambitious attorney.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in labor and employment-related litigation, including class and representative actions.
  • Handle wage and hour disputes, discrimination cases, and other employment-related legal matters.
  • Provide counsel to clients on employment policies, best practices, and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct investigations into workplace issues, including allegations of discrimination or harassment.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop case strategies and solutions.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients while delivering high-quality legal service.

Requirements:

  • 4-8 years of relevant experience in labor and employment law, specifically employer-side litigation.
  • Experience handling class action lawsuits, including wage and hour and discrimination matters.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Proven track record of success in a peer law firm setting.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership in good standing (preferably in . or eligibility to waive in).

Skills:

  • Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
  • Strong negotiation and client management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
