The **Members Only** is currently offering internship opportunities for students interested in gaining hands-on experience in the legal field. This internship is available during the fall season, specifically between June 15th and July 31st. NJOPD is a statewide organization that provides top-notch legal representation to indigent individuals at both the trial and appellate levels.

About NJOPD

NJOPD is dedicated to providing the best possible legal representation to its clients. This includes defending individuals charged with criminal offenses, representing parents whose children have been removed due to allegations of abuse or neglect, advocating for individuals involuntarily committed to State psychiatric facilities, and more. NJOPD also has specific units that handle cases involving sex offenses, post-conviction relief, and forensic science.

Internship Details

This internship is open to law students who have completed at least two years of law school. During the internship, students will have the opportunity to work closely with NJOPD attorneys and staff on real cases. This includes conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, assisting with trial preparation, and participating in client and witness interviews. Students may also have the chance to observe and appear in courtroom proceedings and attend training programs.
