Job Title: Mail Legal Specialist
Job Responsibilities:
The Mail Legal Specialist is primarily responsible for managing the flow of mail within the law firm’s Operations department. This involves:
- Receiving, reviewing, and sorting a large volume of incoming mail.
- Interpreting and entering data electronically related to case files from Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Pennsylvania, and Florida.
- Following up with internal clients to address questions, inconsistencies, or missing data.
- Filing or routing legal/source documents to the appropriate department after entry.
- Scanning checks and reviewing online court dockets for accuracy or updates.
- Printing checks and distributing them to various departments.
- Performing additional clerical duties, such as photocopying or scanning.
- Processing outgoing mail, including FedEx, Pre-sort, and USPS mail.
- Collaborating with internal legal teams for case progression.
- Providing front desk coverage as needed.
Education and Experience Information:
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
- At least one year of relevant experience in a legal office setting or mailroom is preferred.
- Experience with basic computer operations and Microsoft Office is necessary.
- A valid state driver's license is required.
- The ability to lift and/or move supply deliveries and packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
- The ability to stand for long periods for mail sorting.
- Availability for overtime or on-call work, if needed, though minimally.
Salary Information:
- The position offers a starting wage of per hour or more, depending on experience.

Work Requirements:
