Job Title: Paralegal II
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys by providing advanced legal assistance, including document preparation and review.
- Independently monitor new and active complex litigation to identify key legal issues, deadlines, and strategic considerations across multiple ongoing cases.
- Meet with attorneys, senior leadership, clients, subject matter experts, and other professionals to develop litigation and legal project strategies.
- Provide insights based on prior case experience and legal research for assigned cases or projects.
- Analyze, draft, review, and refine complex legal documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, and interrogatories.
- Ensure legal filings comply with applicable court rules and procedural requirements.
- Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis on statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources.
- Synthesize findings into well-organized, written memoranda or strategy briefs for attorneys.
- Lead or conduct comprehensive client and witness interviews; evaluate testimonial value and prepare detailed, legally relevant summaries of their statements.
- Organize documents and provide assistance with preparing and coordinating exhibits for hearings, trials, council meetings, and presentations.
- Manage high-volume and sensitive legal case files, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation, which may include attending trials and hearings, preparing exhibits, coordinating with expert witnesses, and managing presentation materials.
- May assist with administrative duties, including reviewing documents for submission.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve legal processes, workflows, and systems.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- A combination of job-related education and experience may be considered, as determined by management.
- preferred.
- Four years of experience as a paralegal or legal secretary, preferably with litigation support experience.
- Prior government experience is preferred.
Certification/Licenses/Specialized Training:
- Paralegal certificate preferred.
- Colorado Notary Public Certification preferred.
Salary Information:
- Hiring range: $78, - $87, per year.
- Pay range: - per hour.

- Background and reference checks will be conducted for all regular and some variable/seasonal positions.
