Job Title: ITS Applications and Training Specialist

Job Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and deliver software applications training programs and individual classes, which include:
- New employee training
- Periodic in-depth training on supported applications
- Lunch-time training sessions on specific topics
- Training for temporary secretaries on standard applications and procedures
- Law Clerk training
- One-on-one training as requested

- Serve as the first line for escalation of issues from the Help Desk, Subject Matter Experts, remote trainers, and users who consume training services.
- Provide proactive floor support on supported applications.
- Be proficient in the use of the law firm's standard desktop applications, including iManage, Microsoft Office 2016, Payne Consulting Group’s Numbering Assistant, Levit & James’ Stylizer and Best Authority, Adobe Acrobat, iTimekeep, Workshare Pro, and InterAction.
- Serve as an administrator for the UniversitySite Learning Management System.
- Help develop new templates, autotext, etc., to assist users in automating tasks.
- Create and communicate learning plans in consultation with departmental decision makers.
- Establish and maintain a database to track training participants’ status and results.
- Administer training event feedback mechanisms through UniversitySite, analyze results, make recommendations for training improvement, and integrate changes into curriculum and/or courses.
- Develop, analyze, and update training documentation.
- Work closely with Applications Support Analysts in creating and maintaining courseware.
- Ensure availability of necessary manuals and handouts for each course.
- Provide input into the overall training budget.
- Provide input to identify training requirements originating from new projects and departmental initiatives.
- Visit law firm offices several times per year to conduct group and one-on-one training.
- Participate in business process improvement initiatives.
- Responsible for self-development through professional organization membership, seminars/workshops, or exposure to articles, white papers, and other information made available through industry press.

Education and Experience Information:

- College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or education, and/or five years equivalent work experience.
- MOUS Certifications desired.
- Legal industry experience desired.
- In-depth, hands-on knowledge of enterprise and desktop applications, including Office 2016, iManage, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Proven experience with adult learning principles, methodologies, and course design techniques.
- Knowledge of trends in computer technology relating to software.
- Experience with a Learning Management System.
- Good understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including instructional and presentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on motivational skills and positive attitude.
- Ability to conduct research into course development and delivery concepts, as well as technical software issues.
- Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
- Highly self-motivated and directed.
- Ability to absorb new ideas and concepts quickly.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Very strong customer service orientation.

Physical Requirements:

- Occasional travel to law firm offices is required.
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and to handle other computer components.
