Overview of Responsibilities:
The position involves specializing in personal injury matters, where you will manage a diverse caseload. You will lead a team of paralegals and case managers to ensure timely processing and adherence to legal deadlines. The role requires representing clients during negotiations to achieve the best possible outcomes for their personal injury claims.
Chief Responsibilities:
- Conduct medical case reviews.
- Negotiate and settle cases in both pre-litigation and litigation stages.
- Review policies, claims, and other pertinent records.
- Prepare, write, and argue legal documents, including memos, theories of liability, and demands.
- Communicate with insurance companies to ensure proper management and billing of client medical treatments.
- Provide clients with case status updates.
- Conduct intake meetings with new clients.
- Manage a docket of cases according to office policy.
- Conduct and attend Independent Medical Examinations (IME’s), Examinations Under Oath (EUO’s), and recorded statements.
- Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in personal injury law. The role requires strong negotiation, communication, and writing skills, as well as intermediate to advanced computer and general office skills. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written electronic correspondence are essential. Candidates should demonstrate an ability to analyze corrective action opportunities and present recommendations. Analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are also crucial.
Licensure:
Candidates must be currently licensed in the state of Ohio and in good standing.
Salary Information:
The position offers a base pay ranging from $80, to $115, per year, depending on experience. Additionally, there are quarterly bonuses available.
