Job Title: Vice President, Associate General Counsel, Data & Technology
Job Responsibilities:
1. Enterprise-wide leadership:
- Report to the Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer and serve as a member of the Compliance Leadership Team.
- Collaborate closely with IT teams on data flows, risk-appropriate guidance, policies, compliance offerings, and risk management.
- Partner with commercial legal to ensure a cohesive legal approach to IT and commercial strategies.
- Lead initiatives related to identity governance, insider risk, data loss prevention, eDiscovery, and records retention.
- Enhance controls for vendors processing company data.
2. Subject matter expertise:
- Serve as the legal expert for data, technology, cybersecurity, and AI matters.
- Identify and assess potential legal and regulatory risks and strengthen IT compliance controls.
- Manage projects involving data privacy and security laws across various jurisdictions, including the ., EU, UK, Australia, Brazil, China, Japan, and South Korea.
3. Data:
- Develop enterprise information management and data governance services to ensure trusted data for business decisions.
- Establish compliance criteria, policies, and processes to mature data management capabilities.
- Ensure a robust data and technology risk management program, including vendor compliance and corporate governance compliance with SEC regulations.
- Drive the development and adoption of various data management capabilities, such as data inventory, classification, access controls, de-identification, encryption, insider threat monitoring, data loss prevention, record retention, and preservation.
4. Technology:
- Lead and build a legal data and technology team in collaboration with IT leadership.
- Conduct Business Impact Analysis (BIA) to assess potential disruptions and develop strategies for resiliency, including Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery (BCDR) and Cyber Incident Response Plans (CIRP).
- Provide thought leadership on AI usage among stakeholders to advance smart AI usage.
Education and Experience Information:

- 15+ years of relevant experience
- Ability to make judgment calls under pressure
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and strategic alignment skills
- Strong leadership, strategic planning, and project management skills preferred
- People and change management skills
- Understanding of multiple technology applications
- Superior oral and written communication skills
- Motivation and ability to champion a comprehensive program integrated with business planning, operations, and culture
Salary Information:
- The salary range for this role is $190, to $230,.
- Eligible for bonus pay.
- Comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k).
