Job Overview:
A well-established national law firm is seeking an experienced Corporate Securities Attorney to join its dynamic Corporate Business Unit. This role focuses on securities law compliance and regulatory filings, supporting clients across a range of industries. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience with securities filings and compliance matters and be capable of working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Location:

  • Grand Rapids, MI

Duties:

  • Prepare and manage filings with the SEC, FINRA, NYSE, Nasdaq, and OTC Markets Group

  • Advise clients on securities compliance, reporting requirements, and governance matters

  • Draft and review periodic SEC filings, including 10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks, proxy statements, and registration statements

  • Assist with private and public securities offerings and related regulatory filings

  • Collaborate with internal and external teams on corporate transactions involving securities law issues

  • Monitor developments in securities regulation and advise clients accordingly

Requirements:

  • 5–12 years of experience practicing securities law

  • Demonstrated experience managing SEC and stock exchange regulatory filings

  • Proven ability to handle complex compliance and corporate governance matters

  • Licensed to practice law in home jurisdiction or eligible for admission without examination

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active bar membership in at least one . jurisdiction

Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of federal securities laws and regulations

  • Excellent legal research, drafting, and analytical skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities

  • Detail-oriented and highly organized

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure

  • Effective collaborator within multi-office teams
