Job Title: AVP, Property - Litigation Claims

Job Responsibilities:
- Manage litigated claims in accordance with the company's litigation management guidelines.
- Collaborate with the internal legal team on the selection of counsel, case evaluation, and litigation strategy.
- Present claims and broader trends to Claim and Underwriting management.
- Develop alternative case resolution strategies as needed.
- Develop and update litigation plans and prepare legal expense budgets.
- Participate as a Subject Matter Expert in developing training for internal and TPA staff.
- Maintain contact with TPA claim staff, business line leaders, underwriters, defense counsel, and program managers for Program claims.
- Provide feedback to Property Claim management on litigation drivers and trends.
- Investigate claims and review relevant materials, including insureds' materials, pleadings, and other documents.
- Identify and review applicable statutes, rules, and case law for each jurisdiction.
- Review litigation materials such as depositions and expert reports.
- Travel within the United States to attend mediations, trials, and other proceedings relevant to claim resolution.
- Negotiate the resolution of claims.
- Maintain a diary of all claims, post reserves timely, and respond expeditiously to claims inquiries from insured, counsel, underwriters, brokers, and senior management.

Education and Experience:
- First-party Commercial Property litigation experience, preferably in Florida, Louisiana, and Texas.
- Extensive knowledge of the insurance industry and claims operations, particularly in commercial property claims.
- 5+ years of claims litigation handling experience.
- Proper licensing in all applicable states.
- Strong knowledge of legal concepts and processes.
- Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, influencing, evaluation, negotiating, listening, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to engage in strategic discussions actively.
- Capable of working independently and in a team environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- JD Required.
- Willing and able to travel 10-15%.
- Reasonable proximity to a major airport.

Salary Information:
- Base salary range: $107,900 - $175,000 per year.
- Total individual compensation includes base salary and short & long-term incentives.
- Compensation takes into account factors such as geographic location, role responsibilities, qualifications, talent availability, specialization, and business needs.
- Pay range may be modified in the future.
