Job Title: Compliance Specialist, Last Mile Legal, WW Ops

Job Responsibilities:
As a Compliance Specialist within the Last Mile legal team, the primary responsibility is to support Amazon's Last Mile logistics teams. The role involves partnering with business-line attorneys to define practical legal compliance requirements for Amazon’s Last Mile business programs, which include Amazon Logistics and the Delivery Service Partner program. The Compliance Specialist will collaborate with relevant business teams to address these requirements by developing and implementing scalable compliance mechanisms. These mechanisms might include creating written guidance materials, developing training programs, establishing standard operating procedures, conducting internal audits, and instituting other review processes.

When compliance gaps or other risks are identified, the Compliance Specialist will work with legal and business stakeholders to identify the root causes, develop practical recommendations to address these gaps, and implement mechanisms to mitigate risks and avoid future issues. Additionally, the role involves providing periodic reporting to legal and business leadership regarding compliance status and risk areas.

Education and Experience Information:
The basic qualifications for the position include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, along with 5+ years of experience as a legal assistant, compliance professional, project manager, or in a similar office role. Preferred qualifications include the ability to demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations, the ability to work independently while contributing successfully to cross-functional teams, excellent organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, strong written and oral communication skills, and experience with Sharepoint and Excel.

Salary Information:
The compensation for this position reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for the Compliance Specialist role ranges from $66,800 per year in the lowest geographic market up to $142,800 per year in the highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company, and dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package. This is in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
