A prominent law firm is seeking a Senior Discovery Attorney with 5 to 7 years of experience to join its eDiscovery team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in advising and supporting case teams through all phases of discovery, from preservation to production, while also providing guidance on pre-litigation information governance and trial preparation. The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of attorneys, technologists, and clients to develop efficient and defensible eDiscovery strategies, ensuring the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and cost control.

Duties

  • Advise and support case teams and clients across all phases of the eDiscovery process, including preservation, processing, review, and production.
  • Provide expertise in pre-litigation information governance, deposition/witness preparation, and trial support.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, technologists, and clients to design and implement case-specific eDiscovery workflows and protocols.
  • Oversee the quality of work produced by junior attorneys, project attorneys, and service providers, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Manage risk mitigation and cost control throughout the eDiscovery lifecycle.

Requirements

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in eDiscovery and litigation support.
  • Must be licensed and in good standing in the state of practice.
  • Strong knowledge of eDiscovery laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Proven ability to manage discovery in complex litigation and compliance matters.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Preferred: eDiscovery certifications such as Relativity Certified Pro or Certified E-Discovery Specialist.

Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex legal and technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Expertise in Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace for corporate messaging, collaboration, and productivity.
  • Proficiency in Relativity or other eDiscovery platforms (strongly preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality assurance and risk management.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
