Job Title: Litigation Support Discovery Technology Attorney

Department: Litigation Support

Job Responsibilities:
The Litigation Support Discovery Technology Attorney is responsible for collaborating with major agency clients to facilitate the search and retrieval of commonly requested records necessary for high-volume litigation. Key responsibilities include:

- Gaining in-depth knowledge of the organization’s matter management and document management systems, including their use by agency clients.
- Engaging with organization client agencies to obtain commonly requested records for high-volume litigation.
- Analyzing information technology systems and procedures of client agencies.
- Proposing and implementing potential improvements to optimize systems and procedures for litigation support and agency missions.
- Managing projects related to litigation support and electronic record retrieval.
- Drafting budget requests and statements of work.
- Writing for audiences comprising both attorneys and technologists.

The attorney will work under the management of the Director of Agency-Based Discovery and may assist in other litigation-related projects or in optimizing unit systems and procedures.

Education and Experience Information:
Candidates must be law school graduates admitted and in good standing with the New York State Bar. The ideal candidate should have:

- At least 10 years of experience as a lawyer.
- Experience in project management, production of electronic records, and system analysis.
- Proficiency in SharePoint and Excel.
- A strong interest in search engines and familiarity with the organization’s matter and document management systems.
- Excellent skills in IT-legal communication, writing, analysis, and creative problem-solving.

Salary Information:
The salary range for this position is $87, – $182,.
